These Terms & Conditions apply to all removal services provided by Milton Keynes Removals & Cleaning (“we”, “us”, “the company”). By booking our services, you (“the customer”) agree to the following terms.

1. BOOKINGS & DEPOSITS

1.1 All bookings require a non-refundable deposit, agreed at the time of quotation.
1.2 A booking is only confirmed once the deposit is paid.
1.3 Deposits secure your team, vehicle(s), and removal date.
1.4 The deposit is deducted from the final invoice.

2. PAYMENTS (BANK LINK ONLY)

2.1 All payments must be made through our secure bank payment link only.
No cash, no card readers, no PayPal, and no alternative payment methods are accepted.

2.2 The bank payment link will always be sent to the customer via:

  • Email

  • SMS
    This ensures a verified and traceable payment process.

2.3 Full payment must be completed on the same day the job is finished, before the team leaves the final property.

2.4 If payment is not made on the day of completion:

  • A £50 late fee is added for each day overdue

  • We may pause unloading until payment is sent

  • Continued non-payment may result in debt recovery action

3. CANCELLATION POLICY

3.1 More than 7 days before the move:

  • Deposit retained, no further charges.

3.2 Within 7 days:

  • Deposit retained

  • 50% of the remaining balance may apply

3.3 Within 48 hours:

  • Full balance is due

4. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1 You must provide accurate information about inventory, access, and property layout.
4.2 You must ensure safe parking, loading areas, and clear access for the team.
4.3 You must declare fragile, valuable, or special-handling items.
4.4 All goods must be properly packed unless you book our packing service.

5. RESPECT & CONDUCT

5.1 Our team must be treated with respect.
5.2 Any abusive, threatening, or aggressive behaviour results in immediate termination of service with no refund.
5.3 Our workers must be allowed reasonable breaks and a safe working environment.

6. PARKING & ACCESS

6.1 The customer is responsible for securing parking permissions, permits, or access routes.
6.2 Delays caused by parking issues may incur additional costs.

7. DELAYS & WAITING TIME

7.1 Waiting time caused by the customer (keys, solicitors, access delays, packing not ready, etc.) is charged at £60 per hour per team.
7.2 We are not responsible for delays caused by external factors such as traffic, weather, or third parties.

8. DAMAGE & LIABILITY

8.1 We are not liable for damage to:

  • Items packed by the customer

  • fragile or unsecured items

  • flat-pack furniture

  • pre-existing damage

  • overly worn or unstable furniture

8.2 Any claim must be reported on the same day, before the team leaves.

9. EXTRA ITEMS & LOAD INCREASE

9.1 Quotes are based on the information provided by the customer.
9.2 Extra items or increased load volume may result in additional charges or require a second trip.
9.3 We may refuse items that cannot safely fit or exceed vehicle capacity.

10. SAFETY, HYGIENE & RESTRICTED ITEMS

We will not move:

  • hazardous chemicals

  • illegal or prohibited items

  • infested or contaminated items

  • items that risk our team’s health or safety

11. PHOTO EVIDENCE

We may take photos of:

  • access routes

  • parked positions

  • damaged items

  • property condition

This is for documentation and insurance purposes only.

12. TERMINATION OF SERVICE

We may stop the job immediately if:

  • Payment is refused

  • The job environment is unsafe

  • Abusive behaviour occurs

  • Illegal or dangerous items are present

No refund will be issued in such cases.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are in accordance with UK consumer law and apply to all services provided by Removals MK.uk.
